The desk clerk upon checkout was incredibly nice and apologetic, but not empowered to fix anything while the manager--apparently the only one with any authority to fix problems--wasn't even in the building. However, the desk clerk took my name and number and promised me that the manager would call me.
Staff works extra hard.. housekeeper name Briana is the best ..if u going to stay ask for her. She goes beyond to make u feel right at home. Stayed there for mad weekend.
I won't be back.
4. Only coffee creamer was French Vanilla. Yeah, I'm nitpicking. But at that point, I just wanted regular coffee with regular cream.
2. Incompetent desk staff assigned someone else to my room. At midnight. It's hard to get a good night's sleep after you no longer feel secure...because folks are trying to get into your room...
Then, the unforgiveable:
First, the good: nice, new hotel. Rooms large. Beds comfy. Good kitchenette with a "loaner locker" for stuff like Crock Pots, etc.
Modern clean extended stay place. Great value for visits to Camden if you can handle the 40 minute commute. Only dings are slightly low water pressure and had my room key card replaced by the desk clerk without requesting ID. Other than that, good hotel.
Bad design. Bad desk clerks. Bad housekeeping. Bad management. No breakfast.
3. Dishwasher full of dirty dishes. So when I finally gave up on my crappy night's sleep (because folks were trying to enter my hotel room...), I had to wash the coffee pot by hand.
5. No breakfast.
I'm still waiting.
1. A single bedside outlet between 2 queen beds? Really? It's not 1980 anymore. Even EconoLodges typically have 3 outlets and 2 USB ports by each bed...
Then, the bad:
New hotel IHG Candlewood, very nice clean hotel, Staff is exceptional and first rate, rooms are up to date and spacious. Best hotel in El Dorado!!!
The rooms are amazing. I love the food pantry. Real convienant that it's right off the highway.
